F*ck Plastic

Advertising  | Digital/Social Media

NRDC, Natural Resource Defense Council, is a U.S. based, non-profit international environmental advocacy group. F*ck Plastic is a project paired with NRDC to inform people of plastic pollution and put a stop to unnecessary one-use plastics. This guerrilla-style advertisement discourages/shames popular beer companies from using plastic six-pack holders and diverts buyers from taking part in this unsustainable packaging and encouraging them to buy from companies who use eco-friendly packaging. Sales going down would encourage companies to re-think how they package their beer and switch to a more sustainable transportation of goods and assist in keeping our oceans cleaner and animals alive.

Receive by Mail

People would receive an envelope in the mail with a six-pack shamer, a pamphlet disclosing facts about plastic production and pollution, along with two stickers to continue representing your support.

Engage and Interact

The six-pack shamer creates a forced connection between the shape of a plastic six pack holder and the pattern of sea turtle shells creates a guerilla-style advertisement of a draping, dead sea turtle that demotes the use of plastic and encourages change.

Spread the Word

Text wrapped around the six-pack will bring the viewer to the website where they can see how else they can contribute towards discouraging companies from using plastic and lower their personal plastic use.
