Cup of Mo is a store and open studio that I created and presented for my Undergraduate Graphic Design Thesis at Montana State University. The store sells an array of my own art work that I make and other artists work. Once a month, people are welcome to join an open studio night to make art and enjoy complimentary whiskey & charcuterie boards! While this offers a place for the community to gather, the store also holds a wide variety of creations where hopefully everyone can find at least one thing to connect to.
The goal behind Cup of Mo is to give people a place where they feel understood and at home in a world that can be so vast and lonely at times. There is a focus on sustainable and eco-friendly design throughout the entire store to encourage healthy choices for humanity and mama Earth.
Store Design
Cup of Mo offers complimentary coffee while browsing. There are many plants and a wood burning fireplace to create a cozy space.
Branding
The name Cup of Mo combines my name, my love for poor puns, and coffee. The logo is a simplified, geometric feather which represents my uncle who was my biggest supporter and why I’m pursuing graphic design and art today.
The colors are natural and earth-toned and the fonts are clean and bold.
Merchandise
All merchandise will be eco-friendly and sustainable.
Screen printed tote bags reduce jellyfish imposters/save sea turtles
Shirts are also screen printed & naturally dyed
Enamel coffee mugs with snails to speed up your slower mornings

Prints
I have been printmaking for four years and use different techniques such as wood/linoleum blocks , copper/photo intaglio plates, monotype, acetone transfers and many more!
Photography
My grandpa handed down his OM-1 film camera which has many broken parts, which optimistically sometimes assists in the photos I take. Light leaks & broken light meters create a new meaning.
Children’s Books
I enjoy storytelling and the imagination we have as children. To keep my own imagination active and expansive, I write children’s books and share that creativity with younger generations.
Journals & Covers
I repurposed scrap leather from a local boot repair shop in Bozeman, Montana and made leather journal covers to protect small notebooks . I also bound small journals from recycled paper.
Illustrations
Illustration has always been the core for my love of creating and designing. I enjoy making imagery that can stand in the place of the things that we sometimes lack words for.
Paintings
I started painting when I was younger and never took classes for it but it has become a great outlet to let loose and have fun. I enjoy painting with watercolor, acrylics, and oils. i
